T.I.S. - Titanium Implant Scaler The only ultrasonic insert designed specifically to debride and maintain tooth implants as highlighted in a recent newsletter of an independent, non-profit dental education and product training foundation.
The Perio (or P-style) Insert This external water conduit insert is designed with an external water flow tube. Its irrigation is delivered closer to the tip, giving you a potentially more focused flow.
The IF-style Insert This internal water conduit insert has an internal water flow tube encased within a plastic resin handle. The reduced profile adds to patient comfort.
All of our precision manufactured inserts are available in both 25 kHz and 30 kHz lengths* and operate in manual and automatic ultrasonic units.
*The 25k inserts have longer stacks than 30k inserts
Tip Configurations
The P-Style and IF-Style Inserts come in a variety of tip configurations to suit your preference.
(replace the x with P or IF):
x-5 Beaver Tail: Excellent for heavy calculus removal.
x-50 Universal: Larger diameter insert used for moderate to heavy calculus removal from all tooth and root surfaces.
x-100: These are finer and longer ultrasonic inserts. They provide superior adaption to all root surface anatomy including furcations, concavities, convexities and to the mesial and distal surface of all molars. Subgingival application gives up to 10mm in depth. They can be configured with more tailored tips:
x-100L(left bend), x-100 (Universal or straight), x-100R (right bend)
We have the three 100 tips available as a set P Set or IF Set consisting of x-100L(left bend), x-100 (Universal or straight),
x-100R (right bend)
x-1000: These are the thinest and longest ultrasonic inserts available. They are superior for sub-gingival scaling where the tip thickness affects patient comfort. Using it, the operator can accomplish more scaling before the patient becomes intolerant. The biggest application is with fiber-optic visualization to assist the operator in identifying the calculus on the root surface.
